EASTERNPAK and UNIPAK’s new production planning and control solution offers better corrugators optimization, production planning and feedback.

In line with INDEVCO Paper Containers system automation strategy and objectives, EASTERNPAK and UNIPAK have implemented an optimizing and scheduling system fully integrated with their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions.

EASTERNPAK, in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and UNIPAK, in Halat, Lebanon, underwent a long selection process before choosing Europe’s top supply chain planning solution for the corrugated and solid board industry.

Both companies now run at full planning and production automation, thus achieving optimal planning and scheduling solutions and automatic data collection for machines. The system provides a complete and solid business solution that covers all operation functions, improves cost efficiency, and ensures quality management.

All machines at both plants were linked to the system and instant feedback is now provided at any time. The integration of the new optimizing and scheduling system was smooth and with no interuptions or production stops.

Following the proven success, sister company, Cairo-based Unipak Nile, is currently in the installation phase of this optimizing and scheduling system to ensure smooth and error-free processes throughout production phases.

INDEVCO Group’s Management Information System (MIS) department along with the optimizing and scheduling solution providers, INDEVCO Paper Containers division, and each respective sister company collaborated and conducted the technical, development, business and project management aspects of the new systems.
